When the trumpet sounds

I know my Redeemer

Lives on high

The One who created

Earth, heavens and sky

I know my Creator

Doesn't sleep or slumber

The One who created

Rainbows and thunder

I know my Savior

Never lies nor sins

Just by his voice

Life once again begins

I know my Intercessor

Pleads for my mistakes

The One who made

Rivers, dams and lakes

I know that one day

I will see Him in the clouds

He will come with his angels

When the trumpet sounds

Bevan Boggenpoel was born in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, South Africa. He is an author and publisher who has written 4 books and published

5 books of other writers. He won the Eastern Cape

Arts and Culture Award for English Written

Literature in 2019. In his writing, he always strives

to tell a story or teach a lesson that will inspire or motivate others. He graduated with both a B.Ed. degree, intermediate phase, in Teaching and a B.A. honours degree in Afrikaans and Dutch, which he obtained at the Nelson Mandela University. He currently works as a primary school teacher in Gqeberha (formerly known as Port Elizabeth).
