Blinded
Sin
blinded me,
hardening my heart
to the truth of
Jesus.
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart:
and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden
is light.
(Matthew 11:28-30)

Faith
Facing the darkness ahead
Against all fleshly instincts
I choose to believe
The truth that Jesus has spoken.
Hope springs forth.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence
of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

Rose-Coloured Lens
Dedicated to my Grandmama, Mary Ranft, who has been an inspiration
as well as an example to me of what it means to give thanks in everything.
She wears her rose-coloured lens
Being thankful despite the storm.
The world says it doesn’t make sense,
It says she needs to be conformed.
But because she has been transformed,
She wears her rose-coloured lens.
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
(1 Thessalonians 5:18)
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,
that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
(Romans 12:2)
