IN-FINITE

(Based on Psalm 90)

Return to us, our Lord and Friend.

Remind us how few days You lend.

In ancient pathways guide our steps.

Shine Your peace into our depths.

Have pity on our wandering ways.

Fill empty souls with love each day.

Heal hurting hearts’ infirmities…

these decades rife with misery.

With joy, replace all evil years.

Redeem when sorrow interferes.

With success crown our endeavors.

Fit us for eternal pleasures.

Our quickening hourglass empties soon;

our breath expires like morning moon.

May our swift trip here bear much fruit,

though wicked, winding, is the route.

With purpose pack our brief sojourn.

For heaven may we ever yearn.

Since childhood, You’re our only Home—

our single Hope is You alone.
