His Reach

Guilt shades the world

with disappointment

and regret,

and binds

its victims in

chains of shame.

Jesus shatters

every shackle,

breaks down

every self-loathing wall.

No matter the desolation,

the plague of poisoned soul,

no one is beyond

the reach of His love

the innocence

of His grace.

Quiet Time

Contentment’s

gentle shower

soothes my soul.

There is no quarrel

within, no reason

or desire to step

outside, no phantom

of worry to muddle

my mind. Just

the calm of His peace.

His Word washes

over and through me.

What joy in faith

knowing my life

now and always

is in His Hands.

Celebrating This Day

The pulse of life

is a breath by breath

and step by step

orchestration of grace.

Like shimmering

notes of a brook.

My heart leaps,

marveling at

God’s lovingkindness,

celebrating with

child-like wonder,

unwrapping

this present gift.

Uplifting poems by a very talented poet. I love this from "Quiet Time"---

"Contentment’s

gentle shower

soothes my soul."
