Eclipse: a poem by Sarah Smith

Abstract art: looks like outer space with several white asteroids on a background of black, green, purple, gray, and a diagonal streak going from gold to yellow. Image by Layers, on Pixabay, modified.

Eclipse

Branches quake at the hands of vernal

awakening. From a spectral sun,

an incandescent blaze—the exquisite

mystery that is divine timing.

The sun may hide, yet, vision is met

with clarity: this is temporary.
