A Poem by Elizabeth Brooks: "Crystal Tear"

Crystal Tear

Have you ever been in bed awake in awe over someone or worry with wonder until daybreak

Have you ever had a tear that welled up in your eye and spilled over the reservoir

Have you ever heard the crinkle, the chip, the pop of the crystal in a tear as it dropped Have you ever felt the fountain of tears in your valleys, mountains and rock

Have you felt the tears trickle down your neck to your chest when you released the waterfall onto your burdened breast That’s a reminder that you are God's perfect treasure

when you cry it is a cleansing – evidence of a healing and the presence of the Holy Spirit

the comforter allows the living water to flow like a crystal river Have you ever cried over the love of the glory of the Lord as He demonstrates His power and showers you with blessings

Have you cried over the beauty and the love and the mystery of Jesus Oh that's when your hear the tinkle of the crystal in the teardrops of your eye

and angels singing praises to our Lord in a chorus.
