O My Heavenly Father

O my Heavenly Father

When You repeat Your Word to me once –

It’s necessary.

When You quote it twice –

I should take a closer look.

When I read Your red-letter Words –

I should underline them. They’re important!

You told me three times:

Be strong and courageous like a roaring lion.

I think I need reassurance

From Your Word, as withered flowers need rain.

Sometimes…

I refuse to feel strong

When I am struck down in enemy territory.

I decline to feel bold

When I need to confess You are Lord!

I choose to escape

When stones are thrown at me, and I must stand Immovable.

O my Heavenly Father,

Will I remember You said:

I am with you and be not afraid?

I’ll Rise Up Again

When this world

Knocks me down because I am a Christian,

I’ll rise up again.

When this world

Refuses to promote me because I am a woman,

I’ll expand my determination for favor.

When this world

Abolishes my name because I protect innocent lives,

I’ll fight harder for human rights.

When this world

Determines to distort my beliefs because I stand for justice,

I’ll endure to support civil liberty.

When this world

Speaks afflictions against me because I am someone special,

I’ll rise higher for dignity.

When this world

Laughs at me because I am a fearless poet,

I’ll articulate beyond the horizon.

When this world

Throws rocks at me because I love God’s chosen nation - Israel,

I’ll forge ahead to comfort His people.

When this world

Attempts to destroy my image because I refuse idol gods,

I’ll stand at the top of Mount Everest and shout Jesus’ Name.

When this world

Rejects me because I hate evil,

I’ll advance to pledge allegiance under God.

When this world

Plots to bury me because I love them,

I’ll rise up again and again.

The Revelation I see The Revelation is my aspiration book Where I believe In Jesus. I notice Celebrations instead of depression, And health dominates

sickness. I envision A promised Land Where death and grief Have vanished. I perceive Evidence there’s absolute expectancy Where the world’s adversity Can’t prevail. I discern Soon and very soon all darkness is destroyed Where I am in The Eternal Kingdom Of brightness. I visualize My mom and dad await me When God will return. Will You come Very soon, Dear Jesus?

As a Christian, I stand boldly upon God’s Word as follows, “Wherefore, take unto you the whole

armor of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of

righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking

the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And

take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.” ~ Ephesians

6:13– 17.

Strongly, I believe in God’s armor of protection and covering over me throughout my Christian

journey of creating Christian poetry. Ultimately, God’s purpose for me is to praise Him and

inspire other believers and nonbelievers. His promises empower me to run this race with

confidence, and endurance. Certainly, these empowering fundamentals are essential to destroy

the enemy that wars against me - as I passionately continue to speak courageously of His

goodness and mercy crafted within poetics. As I endure to stand firmly upon God’s Word, I will

not be in fear regarding the battle, knowing He has encompassed me with His whole armor. My

desire is to make a positive difference within this negative world for His Glory which dwells

throughout my lyrics of Creative Writing in Christian Poetry.
