A Poem by Renee’ Drummond-Brown: "Thank You Father!"

THANK YOU FATHER!

“For God so loved the world,

That he gave his only begotten Son,

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

But have everlasting life.”

(John 3: 16 KJV)

Thank you Father for Your ultimate Sacrifice,

Thank you Father for the Atonement by Your Son’s Blood on that night,

Thank you Father for being The Light of all light,

Thank you Father for making the darkness shine so bright,

Thank you Father for going on before us in those battles that we must fight,

Thank you Father for removing so much misery and strife,

Thank you Father for breathing into our nostrils the breath of pure life,

Thank you Father for all husbands, family, children and wives,

Thank you Father for teaching us that we don’t have to die twice,

Thank you Father for Your Saving Grace, not once, twice, but more than thrice,

Thank you Father for forgiveness in allowing us over and over and over again to get it right,

Thank you Father for elevating us to Your higher heights,

Thank you Father for not abandoning us within our plight,

Thank you Father for paying “our” ultimate price,

THANK YOU FATHER,

“For God so loved the world,

That he gave his only begotten Son,

That whosoever believeth in him should not perish,

But have everlasting life.”

(John 3: 16 KJV)

Thank you Father for Your only begotten Son which is:

none other than JESUS the CHRIST.

THANK YOU FATHER!

Dedicated to: The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.

Renee Drummond-Brown

I, Renee’ B. Drummond-Brown, am the wife of Cardell Nino Brown Sr. and from our union came Cardell Jr., Renee and Raven Brown. I am the offspring of Mr. and Mrs. Peter C. Drummond of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. My siblings are Delbert D. Drummond and the late Pastor Shawn C. Drummond. I was born in North Carolina, at Camp Lejeune US Naval Hospital. I am a graduate of Geneva College of Pennsylvania, and my love for creative writing is undoubtedly displayed through my very unique style of poetry, which is viewed globally. My poetry is inspired by God and Dr. Maya Angelou. Because of them I pledge this: “Still I write, I write, and I’ll write!”

“Renee’s Poems with Wings are Words in Flight” is flown across the seas by God’s raven. There are several Scriptures that I love; however, this one speaks volumes during this ‘season’: “And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth.” (Genesis 8:7 KJV)
