The Remnant - Women Wielding Swords

“Destroyers are come upon all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of Jehovah devoureth from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh hath peace.” (Jeremiah 12:12 ASV)

On July 10, 2017 God gave me a prophetic word, one that I needed to receive in order to be okay with a “movement” many in the church are witnessing amongst well-known women in ministry.

“I AM raising up a remnant of women right now; they are MY warriors! I have made it happen because this particular generation of women has learned to be warriors due to the amount of abuse and dishonor they’ve overcome,” He whispered!

“7 I have forsaken my house, I have cast off my heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies. 8 My heritage is become unto me as a lion in the forest: she hath uttered her voice against me; therefore I have hated her. 9 Is my heritage unto me as a speckled bird of prey? are the birds of prey against her round about? go ye, assemble all the beasts of the field, bring them to devour. 10 Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness.

11 They have made it a desolation; it mourneth unto me, being desolate; the whole land is made desolate, because no man layeth it to heart. 12 Destroyers are come upon all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of Jehovah devoureth from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh hath peace. 13 They have sown wheat, and have reaped thorns; they have put themselves to pain, and profit nothing: and ye shall be ashamed of your fruits, because of the fierce anger of Jehovah.” (Jeremiah 12:7-13 ASV)

Upon contemplating this word a bit, the Lord reminded me of how, time and time again since retuning to the fold, He spoke unto me that I am a warrior for Him. I requested that the Lord reveal why I mentally buck when women in ministry declare the same message God has declared over my life, over the lives of a multitude Christian women? Finally, it began to make sense: My former husband, along with most of my family, denies who I am in Christ; yet, through it all, I remain steadfast. In fact, my faith and boldness has grown exponentially from the experience.

The Holy Spirit has led me to these verses from Jeremiah enough times in the past year to question what I am supposed to take from them. It was not until I was bestowed this message about being a warrior for God, that revelation came…

The obscure thing I must relay: I absolutely remained a warrior through all I’ve endured and Jehovah Tsidkenu led the way! Now, unfortunately, weariness found a crack (a heart for others) and entered via the endless battle ensuing around me. The enemy slithered through this crack and somehow dissuaded me of who God already told me I AM. The enemy had trod on my heritage and destroyed all who meant something to me, making my life a bit desolate of people. Yet, the sword of Jehovah Tsidkenu, battling for El Shaddai, has never fallen from my grip! Instead, Jehovah used the striking of the sword across the boulders that fell in my path, to sharpen it and my identity in Him. Hallelujah and amen!

Women of God, we should be ever grateful that El Shaddai doesn’t take away our identities solely because we momentarily lose sight of it! No, instead He supernaturally restores the vision and purpose we were created for, as we seek him with sincere hearts. Women are more apt to desire freedom from the strongholds that bind them; they seek understanding and peace from a deeper place, more often and more sincerely then men.

It makes complete sense for God to raise a remnant army out of grateful, willing vessels - women of this generation have had to fight like warrior princesses in order to save their souls from the devil himself!

Thank you Lord Jesus for being our strength, the rock of our salvation and healer of our souls! It is by your example we step up and out, armor on – sharpened sword in hand – wielding it not only for ourselves rather for those who cannot battle for themselves.
